Developement
Engenius Solutions can be instrumental in getting new, fresh ideas on the market. We receive ideas that are submitted to us and, if we accept them, assign students from one of the leading engineering schools in the country to develop them. The development teams have access to all Rose-Hulman facilities, Rose-Hulman faculty, and business experts throughout Indiana. Often, the development of an accepted idea is integrated into existing courses and overseen by both Rose-Hulman professors and the Engenius Solutions Management Team.
Marketing
Once development of a project is complete, the marketing phase begins. We'll post projects on our website and may contact industry leaders that may be interested in the commercialization of a project.
Finances
Engenius Solutions funds every stage of a product's development. Engenius is a non-profit organization. Investments made for projects include compensation for students, prototype development costs, and legal costs that are necessary to protect our projects.When an idea is sold commercially, Engenius Solutions seeks to recoup a predetermined cap amount which is a function of our development costs. This cap amount is paid as a small percentage of the revenues that result from the commercialization of a developed project. Once we have received payments that equal our predetermined revenue cap, all Intellectual Property is assigned back to the Inventor and all future profits go to the Inventor.
